When we first started back in 2014 our objective was to provide services that would benefit stranded car owners. We know from experience that breakdowns caused by battery issues are definitely a pain for any car owner regardless of their age, gender or race.

 

Cases such as stranded in the middle of nowhere, being bullied into taking unwanted towing services and cars stranded due to floods have inspired us to keep on improving our services by increasing our service touchpoints.

 

Bateriku Pitstop is a model that we came up concurrently with the revolution of our business strategy: customer nearest to stock and BHero nearest to customer. It is a business model that is inspired by the gig or sharing economy concept provided by the GRAB and Food Panda.

 

In order to fulfil a stranded customer’s demand, we have increased our efforts in increasing our stock location through the opening of Bateriku Pitstops which are operated either internally or through our BPreneur program.

 

Within each key economic regions of Klang Valley, Southern, Northern and the East Coast, a Bateriku branch is firstly set up and operated. Here, we will firstly run the day-to-day operations while at the same time identifying potential hotspots for future BPreneurs.

 

Concurrently, through our collaboration with franchisor and government agencies, our Network Development team will then recruit potential and capable BPreneurs to fill in the potential hotspots.

 

Within the Klang Valley area, the setting up of Bateriku Pitstops are operated internally while for the outside of Klang Valley areas, our Pitstop model is open to aspiring entrepreneurs who wants to become a part of our ecosystem through the BPreneur program.

 

The first BPreneur outlet was opened back in 2018 in Banting and Alhamdulillah it is still operating up until today. In fact, the owner has just recently decided to expand together with his son. Alhamdulillah, we are proud to have capable and trustworthy BPreneurs with us nationwide.

 

Every Pitstop operator, regardless if it is through our internal team or BPreneur are required to adhere to our strict process flows including managing of stocks available, managing operations through our internally developed system and apps as well as providing localized marketing effort to increase awareness of our presence within the surrounding vicinity.

 

In addition, each Pitstop operator is required to attend the nationwide warranty principle of buy anywhere, support everywhere which means that they will need to attend to the customer regardless of the origin of the products purchased.

 

To illustrate, a customer may purchase a car battery from a Pitstop in Perling, Johor but ends up having a breakdown in Jitra, Kedah while still under the warranty period. Upon the customers requests through our multiple touch points, the nearest Pitstop in Jitra to the said customer will then be assigned through our Command Centre to attend to the customer.

 

To date, we have managed to establish close to 200 Pitstops nationwide and with our growing ecosystem of BHero and BBuddy network, InsyaAllah we will be able to cater to your car breakdown needs whatever it may be wherever you will be.

When Bateriku.com first started back in 2014, we manage to disrupt the on-demand battery replacement services by standardizing the battery delivery prices regardless of the delivery time.

Back then, a minimum of RM50.00 is charged by battery service providers to car owners when an order is made from 9.00 pm onwards. The charge is not inclusive of battery price. Imagine the experience for a lady when she becomes a stranded user at night time in the middle of nowhere.

 

That’s why we came up with the model of free delivery, free checking and free installation to assist stranded car owners regardless of their breakdown time. Car owners will only need to pay for the price of a battery every time they need any of our services.

Upon arrival of 30 minutes from receiving an order distributed by our Command Centre, our BHeros’ are trained to analyse the condition of your vehicle using specialised battery inspection equipment’s to check the health and condition of your vehicle’s battery.

 

The readings of your car battery’s CCA (Cold cranking amps) and voltage will be inspected and if the reading is below par, our BHero will then proceed to check your vehicle’s alternator for any electricity current leakage. These processes are essential in determining the root cause of the breakdown.

 

From thereon, only if the breakdown is caused by the vehicle’s battery will our BHero proceed in making the battery installation. If the breakdown is not caused by battery issues, our BHero is not allowed to make the installation but instead they are required to advice the customer to link up with our BBuddy partners (Bengkel) for further checking and repair works.

 

For all the services mentioned, an owner is not required to pay any hidden charges or fees, as we only charge for the price of the battery. If it is not a battery issue that causes the breakdown, we will not take a single cent from a customer.

It is not a secret that Bateriku.com started off as a brick-and-mortar faction that provides on-demand battery replacement service directly to customers. We started off with a band of 5, whom all used their personal phones to receive customers orders, used their own motorcycles to deliver directly to the customer and of course use their own knowledge and capability to inspect and install batteries: all within 30 minutes upon receiving a customer’s order. At that time, we only collected cash as a method of payment.

Today, a lot of those processes have been able to be automated, enabling Bateriku.com to grow faster not just within the Battery market but also into the Breakdown and ‘Bengkel’ (car workshop) market.

Alhamdulillah, we have now served close to 1 Million customers nationwide while our touchpoints have recently reached 100 Pitstops in all key economic regions including Central, Southern, Northern and the East Coast. Our latest milestone is the establishment of our BPreneur network in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah in November 21 recently.

Pernahkah and terfikir, siapakah individu yang bertanggungjawab menghantar segala produk bateri syarikat ke lokasi-lokasi pitstop?

Kali ini, kami ingin menampilkan Muhammad Zainizam Bin Mahmud yang telah bersama Bateriku.com selama lebih dari satu tahun dan merupakan salah seorang pemandu lori syarikat Bateriku.com

Pemuda segak dan bergaya yang berasal dari Kelantan ini telah memulakan perjalanan beliau bersama Bateriku.com sebagai FL dan kemudiannya telah bertukar kepada pemandu lori Bateriku.com di TTDI, Shah Alam.

Kali ini, kami ingin menampilkan Muhammad Zainizam Bin Mahmud yang telah bersama Bateriku.com selama lebih dari satu tahun dan merupakan salah seorang pemandu lori syarikat Bateriku.com

Encik Zainizam berkata bahawa beliau sangat berpuas hati serta gembira saat diberi kepercayaan untuk menghantar produk-produk bateri di daerah Klang. Sepanjang perkhidmatan beliau, Encik Zainizam telah banyak mempelajari aspek-aspek urusan pergerakan syarikat khusus di dalam penghantaran dan juga pengendalian bateri.

Aktiviti penghantaran beliau adalah sebanyak dua hingga tiga kali penghantaran sehari dan penghantaran inventory bateri kereta yang paling banyak yang pernah dilakukan adalah dalam 150 hingga 200 bateri di dalam lori.

Encik Zainizam berharap agar beliau dapat terus memberikan yang terbaik kepada syarikat pada masa akan datang bag membentuk diri beliau sebagai individu yang tekun dan mahir di dalam industri automotif bateri.
