Bateriku.com, joins the SME Bank's XCESS 2022
Bateriku.com recently took part in the SME Bank XCESS 2022 networking programme which opens up opportunities for local micro, small and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) to penetrate the international markets through the involvement of trading partners from Thailand and Japan.
The inclusion of Thailand and Japanese trade partners in the SME Bank XCESS 2022 networking initiative provides local MSMEs with new avenues for entering the international market. Through a digital platform known as Asean Access, businesses are also given the opportunity to penetrate the massive Asean market.
According to Tan Sri Noh Omar, Malaysia's Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, MSMEs' export performance improved in 2017, contributing 11.7% to the country's overall exports. With a total value of RM124.3 billion, exports from the MSME sector was up 5.4% year over year.
Datuk Dr. Aria Putera Ismail, president and chief executive officer of the SME Bank group, explains that the Umbrella Programme is a partnership between the SME Bank and anchor firms that reduces the risk of failure for entrepreneurs by providing them with access to a proven business model.
He said that the Center for Entrepreneur Development and Research (CEDAR) will be providing free advisory and counseling to participants, in addition to providing funding from the SME Enterprise Bank.
The bank anticipates having a total of 5,000 visitors to visit the SME Bank XCESS 2022 virtual site, 1,000 of whom will engage in business matching activities, business clinics, advisory services, and stop by the anchor firms' exhibit.
